Using Popcorn in 1/2 Pints

I was reading up on using popcorn as a substrate and it seems interesting to me, however I wasn't sure if you could use popcorn with 1/2 pints. Most people mentioned using pint jars or quart jars. Does it work just as well with 1/2 pints or is it worth investing the money and picking up some pint or quart jars? The large jars would take longer to colonize, correct? That is mainly why I'd prefer to use smaller jars as well. Thanks.

u can use anything u want man, as long as u adjust the directions accordingly in the teks! i use jelly jars for my jars, they are 12oz, half way inbetween a pint and a 1/2 pint.. not quite any of those sizes.. and mine do fine

case of quart jars for $8 at wallyworld. Invest, it's worth it for popcorn. You want enough in there to make it worth the wait, plus you need to leave room to shake it.

Approximately how long does it take to completely colonzie a quart of popcorn? I'm just trying to make sure I'll be able to produce a couple of flushes before going to school. Thanks.

if you inoc with live mycelium a week to two weeks
for spores add about two to four days to the above times
