Planning a Bulk Substrate Extraction: Comments Welcome

I have a bulk operation underway, and I'm thinking to the future when undoubtedly these things stop producing fruits. What then? Well, I was considering taking the bulk substrate (straw and wbs) and breaking it apart in a 5-gallon bucket. I would then fill this with water and let soak for a while (probably overnight). Then I'd filter out the water and collect it in another bucket. I'd allow this water to evaporate, then I'd pour on isopropyl alcohol and filter again. Then I'd allow this to evaporate, and I should be left with a good amount of alkaloids.
I think this process is feasible, but what do you think?

well do it goddammit and tell us how well it works. I have seen posts before about extracts there was a whole thread about it do a search for psilocybin extract and it will come up. I think you can do it but its a real pain in the ass and there isnt much of it in the mycelium I think.

There is some, and since there is a lot of mycelium, it adds up. And hes just gunna throw it out otherwise, so why not?

instead of extracting, could you re-use the mycelium and seed it into fresh substrate? ive seen people here talk about moving spent mycelium outside and giving it a second wind
