poppy seeds...

Does anyone know if poppy seeds are active/produce any effects(even if only very subtle) via eating?

Some people will make a tea out of massive amounts of poppy seeds and report mild effects. I tried this once with no success.

Ive heard of people failing drug tests after eating poppy topped biscuits or whatever theyre called,I dont know if this has anything to do with recreational dosing of the seeds or not though.
