First agar plate - mold or mycellium, what next?

This was my first attempt.
Swabbed 3 plates with a PE swab and on the 4th cut a bit of the q-tip off.
Only the 4th plate has shown anything. Is the mold or mycellium?
Should i transfer some or leave a bit longer?

I like to transfer final agar to liquid culture and then agar test that when it's ready (make sure there's no contam), but then you have an unlimited supply.

You could put two transfers onto one plate, then in 5-7 days pick the best growth to move to its own plate, which hopefully will be clean enough for grain.

Thanks do I simply cut a few triangles out with a sterile scalpel and put on a new plate then wrap?
Do I put it fluffy side down on the new plate?

Yeah exactly. Try to get small pieces to transfer. If you can land it mycelium down on the new plate awesome but it’ll be fine either way.
I would either take both from that circle on the left in your pic, or one from there and one from the bottom growth where it’s uniform.

So i took 2 transfers from 1 plate in my above post and one from another plate.
Here's what they look like now.
Good enough to go to grain or should i do another transfer, if so from which plates?

They look pretty clean to me, Id bet they do well on grain.
You’ve got some good looking sectors too, I’d definitely keep transferring but if you’ve got the jars it can’t hurt to grain them after.

Thanks, I think I'll transfer from plate 3 with that edge that is creeping out just a little further around 6pm and then also put a few wedges to grain at the same time to make sure they fruit! I've heard people transferring 10+ times then not actually getting good fruits when they spawn it.
Thinking of trying to clone a pin next, apparently it's better and less dirty than a mature fruit?
