Your experminet was the reason i wanted to start my project, but i want to know if it is possible to fruit pans from cakes. Not to use the cakes as spawn for casings or outdoor beds.
Thanx for your input.

I think that for pans you would be better served trying a manure based cake.

In Stamets book, The Mushroom Cultivator, he depicts a tray of cased wheat straw fruiting with a thin layer of casing applied. I would be interestd in hearing from anyone who has gotten Pan Cyans to fruit without using manure in the substrate.
