haha stanley i hope you're kidding  but, berto, what do you mean exactly? It has a water line but you still are completely submerging it or you're keeping the water at the water line? Is it coming out the side of the tub? Please explain more.

stangly i think hees talking about a rubbermaid incubator with 2 totes and heated water between the two and the jars on the inside. yes its ok to have it submerged, they seal em up real good.

ya dont put a non submergable heater under water, besides a fire your lucky you didnt get electricuted.Think about it,water and electricity can be a deadly combo, dont take stupid risks.Buy a submergable one,or figure something else out.  :shake:

I'll say a word of praise for the Tetra heater: no temp fluctuations that you can get with other small heaters of the same price.

i too bought a heater that says it is submersible. The picture on the back of the box shows that it can be placed horizontally under the water. But there is also a "water line" at the top of the glass tube. I haven't submerged it past the line yet, as I am wondering how it can possibly keep water from leaking past the thermostat dial, and power cord inlet. get my drift?
