I have become intrigued with tripping according to the Year Wheel. Is anyone doing this?

The astrological wheel of the year involves the 2 solstices, 2 equinoxes and 4 midpoints between tghem across the solar year, in accordance to movement of the sun across the sky (or actually our revolution around it)
This leaves us with 8 special days spread evenly across the year in 1.5 month increments.
It so happens that 8 times a year is also a great frequency to trip for most.
Imagine preparing for the Halloween trip, comparing agendas for planning the Yuletide trip, the trip-BBQ extravaganza on the longest day of the year and the cosy wrapped-in-blankets trip on the shortest day.
Imagine tripping at around the 8 Pagan festivals, as a means to trip to the rhythm of the sun calendar and provide structure to your frequency of tripping and give you ideas for themes for those trips.
It would be a nonreligious way to honor the year festivals of our ancestors, the ancient world in both hemispheres was all about the rhythm of the sun.
Is anyone doing this or, attracted to this?

An interesting idea.
I noticed over time that all my most meaningful trips were when the moon was full, so now I always try to trip during full moons.

Eight times a year is way too many IMO. Four is like max.

Great idea. I always liked the contrast between tripping in the house during the winter to lying out under the stars at the longest day. What are the in between dates ur thinking of? Halloween? Mid Feb, mid may, mid August?

I like the idea of spacing trips out across the year because I think something like 2-4 is probably ideal, maybe 8-12 if you're really into doing it often. The problem is making sure it happens always on a Saturday.
I suppose you could use any convenient combination of Saturdays spaced out in any particular pattern you wanted. But in this case I suppose if you wanted to you could maybe choose the closest Saturday before each of the above dates. Or something like that anyway.
The only thing that makes me rethink that a little is that I tend to space my trips relatively close together during a single time of the year. However, I will admit that the older I get the more I end up spacing them relatively far apart as life gets in the way.

Cool didn't even know some of those. There's a reason they've been recognised under different guises. Transcend any doctrine really speak to the primal in us.
Also like the full moon calendar. I can imagine it was an event to gather for communal and ecstatic purpose. 12 or 13 times a year mayb a bit full on for heroic dosing but I'd say a lighter dose in a communal setting would be a nice way to keep things aligned
