...Here in Charleston, SC. I found out they are playing a little pre-show at the Millenium Music store for free, so I'll get to see them twice! I saw them last year at the Music Harvest in FL; I love their style. I'll try to get some pictures from the pre-show for ya'll.
PS- Charleston is a bad-ass city. Anyone ever been here?

A fucking amazing band, I love their energy...they probably have one of the best vibes of any band touring right now...I've seen them several times and I'm a huge fan. Do you have "Live at Home"? I picked it up at a free show in san francisco last summer...I think the first place I saw them was at ACL Music Festival in austin year before last....not sure though
P.S pardon any incohenrence in this post..

I love STS9!!!! They played here in Austin just recently and they were fucking amazing, they put on really amazing live shows. Speaking of incredible live shows, has anyone ever heard of or gone to see Particle or The New Deal. Both bands are equally as incredible as soundtribe and deserve some love and attention as well.
BTW... ACL tickets are on sale now, everyone should check it out

I just downloaded a bunch of their stuff, they are really cool. Haven't really heard much of anything like this before. What other groups are there out there like STS9 that are good?

Read the thread called "have you heard of Particle? You can find it here: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat...ev=#Post2602819 where there is a discussion about bands of this "genre"...KC recommends "The New Deal" and "the Disco Biscuits"

The show was amazing. It was at this place called the Music Farm... pretty good-sized venue, packed full of hippys and college kids. I'd say at least 3/4 of the crowd was on some sort of hallucinogen... I wish I coulda got my hands on some, but I tend not to go looking for it; I let it come to me. They played well into the night... lotta songs I'd never heard before. I really like the direction they are going in. They are definately "on to something". The crowd was in a frenzy. (maybe it was the drugs?)
They had this huge crystalline structure they set out at the front of the stage before they played, I thought that was cool. Also their lighting effects were superb... Pink Floydish almost... Mm I'm still high from it.
The opening band Entropy was pretty cool as well.. kinda reminded me of Galactic a bit.
Anyways, I'm heading back to Florida tomorrow; I'm gonna miss this city, it's absolutely chill.

I saw Sound Tribe play with SCI at Red Rocks back in September. They definitely throw down a good show.
I think they're based out of here or something, because they play a lot of shows in Colorado. They're doing a couple nights at the Mishikawa Amphitheater this summer.
