FOAF decided to grow using pf tek

ok so afoaf has been stalking these boards for awhile and decided to try a grow.He decided to go pf tek for his first try,got spores from sporeworks..who he highly recommends btw.sterilized using the steam method,innoculated..all is well jars showing growth kinda slow though.So he reads some more boards and his question is this..He has read different versions as far as what to do after innoculation do you retape the holes or no?Does it make a huge difference?Any insight is much appreciated

after knockin em up, you should put the tinfoil back on, hopefully you didn't miss that step. you don't have to tape the holes with the pf tek, if you follow mmgg or original pf tek exactly.

Yea i read that post,which is what got him to questioning his methods.He used canning jars,poked the holes,now this is where his version differs.he got it form the following site. www.geocities.com/magikshroom_427/pftek1
It is the same except it says to use tape during the steaming,take it off when innoculating and then replace and set in an area out of direct light.I am pretty sure it is ok,Just want to make sure as this is his first grow.Ok so im gonna take the tape off and cover with foil and see where it goes,hopefully it will allow for more gas exchange and grow a little faster
