how much peyote
    #2558836 - 04/14/04 10:57 AM (19 years, 11 months ago)

Hi I have a 23 year old peyote. Is this enough for a dose?

I have read that you should eat 4-6 buttons, but that?s small button isn?t it? Like 5 year old ones.

Thanks!

You'd usually need about 6-10 mature peyote buttons (minimum 10-20 years old). 5 year old peyote really arn't worth eating.

I'd hang onto the old Peyote and stick to san pedro. Be a shame to waste an old peyote.

Ok. Well I?ll stick to the pedro then. I tought a couple of old ones should be enough for a dose, bur I see.

Well. I?ll rather just let it grow anyway

Yeah I'd say save that peyote until you are 60 or 70 years old... you'll enjoy it more then

dose per year compared to dose per 10,15,20 (depending) can be a lot less with grafting though, but yeah a lot faster/

One one and a half to two pound San Pedroi can grow form a length of one foot to ov er a tom of cactu oi withing a twenty year period.

Dosage for fresh peyote is 2 to 6 buttons large or one quarter ounce dried. That dried could be form four buttons to 15 weighing one quarter dried ounce. That is an indian dosage comparable to 300-500 milligrams of mescalin.

If I was to buy a peyote that was 7.5 cm, accompanied by 4 smaller 3.5 cm cacti, harvested it and dried it out, do you think that would suffice for 2 good trips? Just eating the dried peyote.
