Let the eanting ensue. I worked sick as hell yesterday Figured id be better today. Nope woke up even worse off. Fuckin call my manager and ask if he can find anyone to cover me and he says “i would but i leave that up to the employees”. Well every other employee is at their max alotted hours for the week and today happens to be a rare event where Each and every one of them is working so i cant trade shifts with them without making them work some insane amount of hours. The one employee not working today is ignoring my calls and texts. So they can welcome themselves to my fuckin shit list. This idiot is lazy and stupid as shit and this just puts the icing on the cake. Im looking for a new job starting tomorrow because fuck this retarded shit. I mean what if i broke my fuckin leg or some shit. These clowns dont have a gd plan to fill a shift? Un real. Taking some xanax before going in to numb out the pain im in and all the bs im gonna have to deal with it on top of it. Not gonna do fuck all and if they call me out about it so be it. Fuckin. Clowns.

make the best of it i guess. id rather work sick than use my pto personally - worked through chemo, worked through surgeries, twisted ankles, worked through all kind of awful shit haha.

When I would get really sick and have to work I would just take stims and soldier through.

Turns out the employee that ignored my text n calls told a few other coworkers shortly after she was hired tht she put our names in her phone so she could know when not to answer. So. Shes being reported to mgmt. fuck tht cunt.
Shit wasnt easy but i made it thru. Coworker had the decency to do most of the hard wrk for me

Don't report her. I wouldn't work for you either if I had the day off. Next time stand up for yourself. Don't ask. Tell your boss that you're sick and if he needs a replacement then find one. That is why he gets the big bucks.

It isnt the boss its the manager and even if i stood up for myself or just said im flat out not coming in SOMEONE needs to be there for shit to run smoothly. This chick thats gettimg reported (not by me ) has fucked up in many other ways and she deserves it. Yeah except im really fuckin sick. So that doesnt even make sense. I asked another coworker to cover me today, guess what, he couldnt, on his day off, but HE REPLIED. And he didnt specifically tell ppl he was intent on ignoring every single co worker for the duration of his time at this job. Do i have an issue with him? Not at all.

If one of my engineers decides to go off grid during free time that is totally acceptable. I'd rather people be upfront about it instead of going against what they actually want and harboring feelings of negativity because of it
You had two options:
1 Call in sick, state your case and stay home
2 Call in sick, be talked into coming anyway thereby showing management you weren't that sick to begin with
You chose the latter. Its your own decision, nobody forced you to do anything, but for some reason your co-worker is at fault for exercising his/her right
