Habitat:
Growing on a hill just below the snow line. Lots of rabbits poo on the hill.

Gills:
brown gills

Stem:
Thin stem 5-6cm

Cap:
light brown, defined nipple, quite dry

Spore print color:


Bruising:
some light blueing on the cap

They sure look like Psilocybe semilanceata to me :thumbup:

Agreed, they look like P. semilanceata for the most, but some specimens are obviously a
bit too dried up to be entirely sure. Where in the world are you situated? New Zealand?

Were they all dried up when you picked them? If not, remember it is crucial to take pictures
of the mushrooms when they're as fresh as possible.

Yeah the conditions weren't ideal so they were this dry when picked.
I didn't see any other fungal species while hunting for these so I'm very certain they are all the same.

Found a few more today in the same spot!
What do you guys think of the two on the right? They look good to me but they don't have as much of a pronounced nipple and one is quite a bit darker...
Rain is forecast for the next couple of days so should be better hunting soon! :smile:http://

But the two bottom ones look like some inocybe lookalikes.
