#4-5 panaeolus foenescii (blackish brown spore print) or possibly paneaolous cinctulus  (if spore print is jet black, like a sharpy marker)

Unless it's a Cinctulus in which case it won't bruise blue but it's still good for you.  And some gymns bruise other colors like purple,  red,  brown,  green.

If you're in the psilocybe world I guess tat saying would work.  But I think it should be
If it bruises blue still check with a trusted identifier until you yourself are willing to take your life in your own hands.

I know its not as catchy... but you're leaving out my favorite mushrooms and I take it personally.

They do occasionally,  but only 1 in a hundred or so.  I definitely don't base anything on whether or not they bruise blue.

That said usually the huge ones bruise blue,  and they're seriously potent when they do.  But if you're only taking the ones that bruise,  you're missing out.

I never tried P. cinctulus, mostly because I've never found enough of them. Even though they are not rare as such, they
are not that common where I live. Also their season is pretty short (late May/early June). They occasionally pop up early fall
as well, but then I'm usually busy hunting edibles.

They're pretty easy to cultivate and will stand up to temperature extremes fairly well.  Last year i was taking manure,  microwaving or cooking in a barrel.  Then grinding up a full mushroom or occasionally just scraping spores into rain water and sprinkling the water onto piles of manure.  The numbers I was seeing blew my mind,  but we were also having tons of rain.

They don't seem to grow worth shit if I use city water. However every single time I drain my hot tub,  chlorine and all,  they grow like crazy.  Doesn't matter if it's 33 degrees f or 100 degrees f they come up every single time where I drain the tub near the manure.

Anyways,  I'm going to put together a simple outdoor grow tek assuming my next grow works out. Anyways,  indoor first I'm completely out of spores and I'm going to do a full run so I can print them all.

Psilocybe semilanceata, P. pelliculosa and several other species don't bruise blue. And several toxic species of Boletus also bruise blue.
