Is it contaminated?

Hi, Im growing Psilocybe Mexicana for the first time so I dont really know what to expect, some mycelium turned brown but truffles are forming and look great, there isnt any strange or bad odors and truffles are still growing, what do you guys think? heres a pic (the black dots on top are ground coffee).

He's growing Mexicana which are stone producers! Op I'm not familiar with how those are supposed to look but from what I have seen I don't see anything to worrisome atm.

Looks like stones to me ut there might also be some bacteria in there.
If it is just stones then thats the most gnarly ive ever seen them.

How long ago did you inoculate those jars. And which variety of mexicana?

I inoculated them like 6 weeks ago, I think the variety is mazatepec, Im not really sure

Don't worry about the variety too much, mexicana is a mexicana just like a cube is a cube. From my experience that white growth happens as the grains nutes are depleted and the grain pulls away from the jar. I always assumed that created sort of a micro climate enough to encourage mycelial growth a little. As long as you didn't see some fucked up shit before 100% colonization I'd say you're good.

Im not worrying about the white, Im more worried about the mycelium turning brown haha cause Im used to cultivating cubensis where healthy mycelium is always white
