People usually do this on a double yellow lane but I've noticed alot of people seem to think oncoming traffic isn't effected by their high beams if there's a medium between them.
Not using turn signals is kinda okay in some situations but in others it makes people need to slam on breaks or make people who are trying to merge onto traffic (or turn onto the road) unnecessarily wait.
Which turns into a big issue in the city. Where the person behind that driver not using their turn signal is somehow even more pissed off than you and speeds up after they turn off to make up for their incomprehensible slowing down and then you still can't merge.
Or you do and get hit.
Have nearly gotten hit several times by people who go into the other lane to get around the person turning and then get back into that lane I'm trying to merge into in the middle of the fucking intersection.
Yes people are stupid. That's why accidents are the leading cause of death for people under 40 in this country.

Interesting. I never get bright-flashed for the fog lights in my car, but I often get brighted for the low-beams in my truck.

I'll flash my high beams twice if there's something in the road ahead. Animals or disabled vehicles mostly.
Only ever felt the need to on windy back roads though, where the speed limit is 55 and anything beyond 20 feet is hidden.
Pretty much never use my high beams or fog lights unless I'm sure I won't see something I need to see immediately or that no one else is anywhere near me.
Prefer just driving a little more slowly instead.

I've noticed that alot of new headlights are especially bright for some reason. Perhaps that is part of your problem?
I wonder if there is any kind of regulations for how bright primary headlights should be

I have a more eloquent solution. When someone comes at you with high beams on, just switch yours on until they turn theirs off. Then switch yours back off.
Works almost every time.

Fuck everyone else on the road, all I give a shit about is me. I'd use super high beams if I had them!
Okay not really. I don't know that I'd advocate people go around driving with one eye, but if you close one before the high beams become a problem and blind you, then switch (close the opened one, open the closed one) after it passes, you should be able to regain sight of the road and your surroundings much faster. I know the way you're "supposed" to deal with it is to look off to your right at the side of the road or something but the couple of times I've tried that, I nearly drove off the road. I mean the lights are still bright enough that even not looking directly at them you still get partially blinded and instead of an entire road to try and regain sight to maintain your lane, you only have this little corner of it to look for until the vehicle passes. My way you can practically maintain vision on the road the whole time.

cant tell you the amount of times my dad has flipped people off for having high beams on when they didnt even have them on, he just had sensitive eyes lol. He refused to believe the blindess was from the light glaring off the rain and wet windshield, and felt every driver on the road was just blasting their high beams to spite him

I find that on a bunch of luxury cars, the regular headlights are so bright that they might as well be the high beams.
