I don't remember what the hell they're called but my karate robe was comfortable as fuck. I felt like I could float in them.

I am becoming a tai chi master. I also like bagua. I moved away from Los Angeles so I can say martial arts isn't for fighting. Ideally it shouldn't be.

I used to have some old Chinese coins with the hole in the middle for making strings.
Here is some dragon style bagua. All weapons use highly evasive footwork and it's easy to learn martial arts once you know weaponry.

Training in a gi sucks, for a lot of reasons. BDUs are where it's at. They don't take forever to dry out, for one thing. Plus they've got lots and lots of pockets. And you're more likely to be wearing a collared shirt and pants than a hakama or a terry cloth robe. :deal:

BDUs are pretty damn comfortable. They tend not to accent your cleavage very well though.

I could happily sleep or work out in either.

BDUs made me feel more like I could kick some ass but I think alot of that credit would go to the combat boots.

Though the people who have the right to wear full BDUs and not look like a nerd also have to put up with Class A & B military dress and that's pretty much the exact opposite. Felt like I'd stuck myself in a tub of starch wearing that shit.

I looked pretty fucking good and my lesbian groupies liked it but that's definitely not how I'd prefer to roll.

Combat boots aren't going to help you kick ass. Their main advantage is that they don't fall apart when you beat them to shit on a rock, for days at a time. Plus the good ones are actually pretty comfortable to run around in. The main advantage of the steel toe is honestly that it protects your toes from injury if you put them somewhere where you really shouldn't have. Training personal combatives with a partner, in steel toed boots, isn't really a great idea unless you both understand what you're doing extremely well though and are going verrrry slowly.

And what the fuck do you mean "right to wear full BDUs?" It's a ripstop jacket and a pair of pants. It's not supposed to be a fashion statement. You wear it because it works better than everything else, unless you want to run around draped in sopping wet cotton or have your clothes ripped off of your body (while being worse than useless to your group because you can't carry anything on your person).

Alot of people wear military dress, especially BDU clothing, as a fashion statement. I love it, military gear has consistent quality that can't be spoken for in many other brands. But if you aren't camping or hunting or hiking then you are either in some aspect or the military or you're a nerd. Basically if you aren't putting it to use then you probably are essentially wearing it to look cool.

And I don't judge, that's how people wanna dress then w/e.
... You must not live in an area where people do that and pretend they're military or hunters or redneck rappers. It looks.... Misleading at best. More often silly though.
