Should i pull the trigger on a hydrofogger mini?

I'm sick of cleaning and changing my filter pads every 3 months and ultrasonic disks. I want to upgrade my primary humidification and was thinking about doing the high pressure, now i think i might cheap out with a hydrofogger mini. Its $400 with shipping and a 3 year supply of the antimicrobial cubes. I have 70sq ft grow with ~150-180 cfm exhaust. Should i pull the trigger?

You ever going to expand? High pressure would be nice because you could always add more on to it. Unless those hydrofogger are made for shroom spores i think youll still run into problems even w/ the cubes.

Here is the link to figure out how many gallons per hour you will need. The device you list supplies .4gal/hr . Your grow space is pretty small so it might be enough. It all depends on how hot your room gets at it's hottest part of the year.
My grow room is 400sqft @10ft tall and requires 3 gal/hr at the hottest part of the year in San Diego, CA with 8 exchanges per hr. and an incoming humidity level of 70-80% from a swamp cooler during the hot season. Right now .5 gal/hr is sufficient for me at 60F.
It's a good price for a small grow room. i would make the plunge. A high pressure system is very expensive and a cheap good setup will start at around 1500$ and go up to 8,000$ depending on your requirements. Not ideal for a grow room your size.

I am buying the regular hydrofogger unit soon to use in conjunction with my fogging misters. I've heard nothing but good things about them. In the summer time the misters really help cool the room down a bit too, so I like combination of the two. Are your misters not working out for you?

I have some pond foggers in a fan bucket but they need to be repaired/replaced every so often. 5$ and a week to get them shipped is good for a small timer like me. Ive seen a few youtube videos of these in action and they look pretty solid. If I had the money Id buy one. Buy it, then upload a review video for us to watch!

pretty sure JT (chef) had them in his grow rooms to keep them around 80-90% and supplemented with misters when he needed more. i thought you were talking about the small humdifian before I opened this thread. those I would avoid, i don't know anyone who really loves theirs.

Just ran through that formula. It seems like some sort of evap. cooler makes a huge difference in humidity!

it's a centrifugal humidifier, so the only thing to really break is the screen clogging up with spores or minerals.

Doesn't the filter get clogged or is it just for flying objects? http://j.b5z.net/i/u/2028040/f/MiniFogger_Watermark.pdf

It does for the incoming air. In the summer here it is around 30%. With the evap cooler I can get the incoming air to around 80%. It makes a big difference on the amount of moisture you have to add.

Azur uses this model for the last five or so months, maybe ask him, fairly certin he's happy with it. Install was very easy.

Trigger was pulled, mainly because a recent fitting burst fried all my ultrasonics, dont buy cheap GHT to 1/4 drip line adapters, use brass and clamps. I plan to install the minifogger outside my chamber, hopefully this will reduce the amount of spores and shit collecting on the fans and inside. Also it should make it more effective since it will be sucking from dry ass air where evaporation will be more likely than if its sucking in humid air and recirculating???? I think lol we will see.

That's a good idea if you can duct it into your intake pipe. Should last forever.

Kick ass Gr0wer, really pumped for you man! I've only seen 1 in real life and it sure as heck made me a believer. Outside the chamber is definitely the way to go. It's obviously more work to duct in, but we all know you're up for it. That's an interesting question, does the RH affect the gph output. My guess is that the effectiveness is relative as the thing can only chop up so much water and blow it out at a time.

Hey grower, I'm actually running the same humidifier (inside) my GH. How's it working out having it outside the GH ducted in? Maybe I should run mine outside..
