Don't make a cake with popcorn. Colonize a jar of popcorn, then case with coco fibre, or spawn to poo/straw.

I would case mycelium like this ... On the bottom layer saw dust, then crushed mycelium ( from colonilized pop corn ) and on the mycelium i would put some straw/poo mix .... Is this ok ?

The top bun should have no nutritional value at all.
The bottom bun provides moisture.
The meat goes in the middle.

Your theoretical hamburger is 2 buns with the meat on top.

you can do that as long as you let it colinize and then fruit with no casing layer.
or just fruit with no top casing layer

you can use peat moss as a casing layer, probably will be fine without adding verm. every garden center/hardware store will have it.
