well i cased about 4 days ago and yesterday i noticed cobweb.What is The best way to fight it?I am getting peroxide tomm,and was going to mist surface with 10% solution,is this what i should do?if so how often should i mist with the peroxide solution?,if there is a better way to fight please tell me,because otherwisae i have had no problems.

cobweb spreads incredibly fast, chances are you will end up tossing it.

well than maybe its just very whispy myceluim,because it is in seceral spots on the casing,but not really spreading very fast.I also read that cobweb is greyish or off white,this looks white to me,the only thing is there are spots where there is mycelluim(that i can tell 4 sure),but then these other spots that although white look pretty much like cobwebs,but they arent spreadiing fast,at least not any faster than the noticable myceluim.

Be cautious because you might be mistaking cobweb with early developed mycelium. Cobweb spreads fast and it grows a bit higher than mycelium, it also remains with that grayish color, mycelium starts getting whiter and thicker.
Try giving it some more light and air (this is ok since you are at pinning stage). Keep treating it with that h2o2 solution. Misting 3 times a day should be ok.

ive read that baking soda also kills or inhibits cobweb. i think i read that in one of paul staments books.

Hello snatch,

My friend is in the same stage of possible cobweb as you. And she also has overcome BAAAD cases of cobweb. What she did was to mist w/ 20% H2O2, plenty of bright sun on the casing, and 4X a day 5 min fanning. Another similiar casing was treated with 5% NACL solution and the problem was taken care of also.

yeah, if you want 30% H2O2 from 3% just boil down your 3% to 1/10 of the size, works good for me :smile:

The general thought is that boiling/heating peroxide breaks it down.  Rush Wayne's manuals go into more detail on how to quantify the peroxide you have;  He uses inverted tubes and balloons :smile:

H2O2 is EXTREMELY powerful and dangerous... 30% can pretty much "eat" your skin. You can buy 30% solution.. usually as industrial strength for lab purposes but they don't sell it in stores like that just because of how powerful it is.

Like Suntzu said, if you boil it.. all you will end up is some water.

come to find out it was just the mycelluim coming thru in its early stages,i have been misting with peroxide /water solution to be safe,but thank god it wasnt actually cobweb.I also saw a picture in the grow log forum that Jared posted of his GT casing in different stages,and i saw the same thing i had.

mmhm h2o2 boiling temp is much higher than water, so if you boil it to 1/10 you'll get 30% argh never get any of that stuff on you.. I spilled just a drop and i had this patch on my hand which was as white as FFFFFF for about a week :S
