Mushzilla ~ 83 grams beast

These came from a spore syringe from a trusted head-shop. They gifted me this syringe and in exchange, I will be giving some feedback about the entire process.
So far, I am mindblown... they were shy at first (I had another tray with golden teachers and I already ended the first flush when these were still tiny mushrooms on an edge of the tray and some (very little) around. Since some strains are shy in the first or even second flush, I did not worry. Pure pearl white mycelium covering the entire tray, massive mush smell and no sign of contamination. So I just allowed them to develop.
It is 29 degrees inside my FC with an 80% humidity normally (I have been super busy so they only had 2 mists a day, even though, it was a heavy misting on the walls of the FC.) The many holes gives the shroom a lot of indirect light, and on the inside, most of these are wrapped with plastic to keep the moisture in, but still some aren't so there is are flow, (in addition of the fanning of course.)

To my surprise, that the shrooms started to grow fast and get bigger. The cap turned blue and they became huge in a couple days... look at the photos (all of those came from a single initial stem)

I am drying now in a dehydrator at 95 F and will try them soon, lol.
(By the way, the blue thing under the shrooms was weighed and tared back to 0. I had to weight them this way, they are too big for the scale so needed to gain some height.
Thoughts?

This thread was moved from The Psychedelic Experience.
Reason: This is more cultivation related so i'll move it there. It hasn't gotten much love in psych experience.

What chamber is that? A clothing basket? One has cracks on top. It looks like it was dry, which is funny because 80% rH is the max I'd go for humidity. Anything under 55% causes cracked caps, so somewhere in that chamber it was under 50% rH while that shroom was maturing.
I'd just get a proper chamber going imo. Mono or SGFC works. Also you can dehydrate at 160F. 95 is low af.
Nice shrooms tho. Just a lot of stuff has made me

Yeah and also why are you listening to the shrooms so carefully? Are you recording their spirit animal communications? Bro.. this is huge.
Naw seriously though those shrooms look cool, good work, and that fruiting chamber gives me the chuckles

Hahahaha glad my FC is amusing.
Might be the weather here or mere coincidence, but when I switched to this FC, the shrooms started to look and appear happier.
I doubt it went below 55%, but I had some days of being extremely busy and did not mist as desired.
Won't psylocibin break if you go beyond 107 degrees? I always dried fine at 95 and it went well. Might take longer.
I would love if you clarified I love feedback and I aim to improve my fruits every time hehe.
Thanks!

Here it is!
Notice the temps listed 220C - 228C, That's 428F - 442F and it's the melting temp only. If you take a solid and raise it's temp to its melting point, it becomes liquid. Return that same liquid to it's solid temp and... you get the same original solid (it is not destroyed) So... Psilocybin IS NOT DESTROYED at temps as high as 442F
Notice the temp for Psilocin, and that it is only measured in Methanol. That is because in water... the oxygen molocules of the water would oxidize it and desrtoy it. (Not the heat) So... when you dry your shrooms, The active ingredients of Psilocybin and Psilocin are exposed to oxygen destroying the Psilocin but not the Psilocybin, no matter what the temp is.
Keep in mind that this only refers to the chemical form... not live mycellium.
Lesson over, class may now eat their science projects

I used to dry my shrooms in an oven, works pretty well. I'd go as far to say it works just as good as a dehydrator, only you have to babysit it. The key to reducing potency loss is to dry them ASAFP. Using heat is useful for two things, one being that it dries your shrooms faster and second being that when the shrooms are exposed to a certain temp (don't remember what temp exactly), the enzymes that break down the mushroom (and the actives with them) stop working.
TL;DR... Heat em up.
