Growth Chamber w/ Constant Low Heat Source

I had originally picked up one of these for a damp closet in my basement. After i opened it I realized it didn't "extract moisture" like it said. Instead it simply warmed up to force hot air up and out of the room it was in.

It says it covers 200 Cubic feet. Tbats like a 4'X 5' X'10' box just for reference. I decided to test its potential as a possible incubator.

Using a 18 gal rubbermaid roughneck I put the rod approx
8" above the bottom, placing the rod lenghtwise supported by two holes in the walls. I sealed the holes around it with silicone, but anything really could've been used and set it alone with several recently innoculated jars.

The result, a relatively constant 82-86 degrees 24 hours a day for the 5 days it was left on. Since the container was sealed 99% of the time there was no humidity loss. Also, since it a relatvely low heat source I didn't notice any reall hot-spots, but I also found that was hard to measure.

I don't know if this has ever been mentioned, or if anyone would get the same results, but for me it seems to work fine. Although I remember it being around 20 and not 30$.
