Problems with growth
    #2339959 - 02/16/04 02:35 AM (20 years, 1 month ago)

Ok, this is basically the same problem as the one I have in my last post about my contaminated growth. I thought I should post this in another post.
My mushrooms have gone through a brutal start due to someone stupid who owned the shrooms before me untill the first flush was almost ready. I tried to give them some light, I cranked up the rh plenty and the result is less contamination actually, but the mushrooms look really golden brown, more brown than I THINK they are supposed to be, they also have a shade of blue from the bruising of dryness, the caps seem like they could be burned... I dunno... I had the shrooms under a normal 40 watts (or something like that) lamp. Can they handle that? What should I do? Would the best thing be to eat the shrooms that have grown so far, spoon out contaminants (and salt wound) and just wait for the next flush or should I wait till the shrooms are full grown or should I refrain from eating those mushrooms at all?

Sounds like the heat of the lamp is drying them out.
