Anyone have resources I can use to better understand Ethereum?

Recent devaluation scares in Bitcoin make me want to expand my horizons for what is possible from a decentralization perspective. Hoping someone can point me in the direction of resources that can help me become code-literate enough to better understand how Ethereum platform works. I never fully understood BTC, either, so I'm kinda more looking for foundational knowledge relating to the development and implementation of digital currencies.

Do you really think bitcoin is just going to die?
How much BTC did you sell? Did you make it while it was still over $400 or sold once the panic set in? Since Mike Hearn's announcement the price dropped to $360, but as of now has already recovered to $390.
I don't think it's dying, but who knows.
Sorry, I don't know anyhting about Ethereum. I barely comprehend bitcoin

Soooo, I stumbled upon a website called Udacity that offers coursework in the exact areas I needed to better understand. Guess I answered my own question, if anyone else has a similar desire to expand their learning horizons, check it out.

Did you get into Ethereum in January OP? If so, you probably made a great return.
I even have a post on here from Feb 2014 about wanting to put 2 btc into ETH (which would have been worth 140 BTC at its ATH)....but I never put it in
Nothing I can do about it now. Was just wondering how OP made out/if he put money into ETH

I decided to stick it out with BTC a few months more, but traded it all for Ether in mid-February, 2017. Sure as hell glad I did. Price of ETH was initially $10-$12 when I bought my first $15 worth. Only a week later prices rose to $30, at which point I converted my remaining BTC to ETH, for a total of ~10.5 ETH.
I'm standing around 9.5 currently - the meager investment now pushing $700! Definitely a value platform to monitor in the weeks to come.
Also, I recommend against using Coinbase to get a foot into this market. I've been a customer of theirs for years now, and a few days ago they randomly decided to terminate my account after I sold a small portion of ETH for BTC for a monetary transaction, and transferred the BTC back into my ETH wallet. They cited that they were regulated by FinCEN and were forced to close my account to be in compliance with their mandates and gave no further explanation. I would expect more customer loyalty than that, tbh, at least a citation of exactly why they closed my account, rather than leaving what officially prompted the decision unknown. In spite of this rude dismissal, Coinbase did have the integrity to give me the opportunity to transfer my funds to a new wallet, so I appreciate the fact they didn't steal money from me in the process of closing my account.
