it's very hard to write decent poetry when you can't guage other's real opinions about it.. I don't write poetry for myself- I have everything in my mind that I want to know about my feelings. If you think the poem I'm about to post is incredibly lame, could you please tell me why you think so? If you like a part of it, please tell me you do. ok.. that said

i recently wrote this poem, so i havent been able to objectively ( feeling-wise ) review it.. it's kind of short tho, so it shouldn't be too hard to read through :

Silent sitter
So warm.. so cold

hopes and dreams
joys and comforts
extravagant wastes

survival and love
passion and work
silent escapes

life is bold,
shadows dark
action the flashlight,
we feel aware

reality is lonely
light unnverves us
we run to hide
but find life instead
