safe to eat??? *PICS*
    #2240410 - 01/13/04 10:27 PM (20 years, 3 months ago)

first time growing ... i just picked these ... concerned about:

-the purple staining on the stems of 2 of them ... bread mold?
-the greenish blue tinges everywhere
-the general 'rotting' look to them (haha)
-the small green dots - though i think those are burns from salt that i sprinkled on

also, is it ok to eat the white mycelium around the base of the stem?

thanks for any help!

well the place i bought the spores from had them labelled AMAZONIAN PES ... overall i got really funny shaped fruit ... there were a lot of blob type heads and gross bulging fatso ones. somebody suggested there was a co2 buildup in the tank? i don't know ...
the yellow doesnt really show in person ... think it was the lighting/camera. thnx

I can get that feeling from looking at the pics. Maybe it was a hard fight to survive with lack of air, maybe too high Rh, i don't know ....

Probably, yes.

Yes. It increases your sexual potency but i'm joking on this one of course

Eat 'em. Or better yet, find a human guinea pig...maybe your little brother or one of his friends.

Just kidding, man. I don't see anything to be concerned about and I agree with ^^^MAIA^^^ 100%.

If you don't allow your fruits to mature to this extent, they will look and taste much better. The rotting look you refer to is due to over-maturity and the presence of spores, most notable in the tatty-looking caps. The next step for these babies is mushroom heaven.
