Has anyone ever used 105qt sterilite tote for a FC? I just bought one and plan on using it. Just was curious if anyone else has used it before and weather it does the job like 60qt. If so, what were, if Ne, some issues u had with it.

Prepare thy butthole!

Once people get a closer look at that FC you will not get the same responses. Non SGFC or Monotub designs with perlite, air pumps and water bubblers are generally frowned upon here. Even though they can work.

I'm using like 4 icing buckets from albertsons for 1 cake in each one and then a plastic rubbermade (i think) bin that I found out by my dumpster months ago. Cleaned them all and sterilized and I've been fruiting and dunking for the past several weeks, had a contamination worry last night, but I separated everyone, but I am still going to use the large bin for fruiting 3 cakes at once. Hasn't given me a problem and with how large it is I can mist it a little less I suppose.

I exclusively use the 105, for my monotubs. Awkward to move around, and lift, onto my fruiting room shelving unit, but I'm a big strong guy. I find that the lid to tub "seal" provides too much FAE for colonization, so I clip the lids to the rims, with "bulldog clips" from the stationary aisle at the dollar store.

But, you're talking Fruiting Chambers, so I know nothing...

I'm currently using a 110 quart sterilite plastic tote for my SGFC and it's working out fine.

Drilled 1/4 inch holes every 2 inches on all sides. 3 to 4 inches of perlite. 21 BRF cakes are currently in the SGFC. I mist about three time a day. And all the cakes are pinning and fruiting fine :smile:
