Couples Night In
    #2194070 - 12/21/03 03:27 PM (20 years, 3 months ago)

Some friends of my wife and myself are coming over in about 1/2 hour to indulge in my current batch. We're going to mix up some powder and whole dried shrooms I got from my friend Mr. Anderson and give it a shot. It should be a bit over 3g dry each.

I'll let everyone know how it goes!

And there was much rejoicing...

The friends of ours had never tripped before so it was quite interesting to see their reactions to everything. At first the guy was really queasy, but as soon as that passed he was bouncing off the walls. He is normally a really reserved guy, but he was talking and giggling non-stop just about all night. At the end he even said "wow, I didn't know I had that in me!"

The gal was more chill, but occasionally she would get into fits of laughter that would last for quite a long time, in fact at the end of the night her eyes were a bit swollen because she had been laughing so hard she was crying.

All in all there were a lot of visuals with this trip, but not the kind I got before with shrooms - not a lot of breathing and wobbling patterns, mostly distortions of the size of things. Our living room seemed huge and our kitchen was the size of a mansion... time to go to work now, I'll post more later.

Couple of days after the trip now... the general post-trip glow is now gone. However, I did note that Monday after the trip just about all of the trippies had headaches... anyone know why that might be?

As I recall the theory is that the headaches are caused by your eyes taking in too much light due to your eyes being dialated for so long. I sometimes get headaches too but find that keeping all the lights off until I go to sleep after tripping really helps with that.

truly,

Michelle

I believe that aggravation of some 5-HT receptors are indicated as one of the causes of certain types of headaches, and they are also affected by Psilocybin and LSD. I know that some people complain of headaches after, but for me it is completely opposite. I have suffered with severe migraines from an early age and for me taking LSD has been by far the most effective treatment I have found, with Psilocybin also working to a lesser extent. Normally I will have 2-3 migraines per week, but after taking LSD any headache goes away within 15-20 minutes and I usually will not get another for at least a month or so.
