I might make a thread about procrastinating...

...if I ever get around to it.
What are some ways to not procrastinate so much. I feel like such an idiot sometimes because even though I know all the things I need to do, and am plenty capable, if I feel like I can put it off I usually will.
I really like hard work when I can actually make myself do it, but I am just lazy in the sense that I don't want to take the first step.
What is this about?
Is it some subconscious fear?
Is it a personality flaw or the only way to live?
Do you know any ways to procrastinate less? Preferable non-meth based strategies

I already have notes everywhere I am going to end up a lonely old hoarder, I can see it now.

Little steps, every day. They add up and are easier to get motivated to get accomplised than massive chores.

hehe. to Matt's comment on the postit notes thing.
moonrock; 1 is simplify simplify, makes a big difference;
and organizing thoughts makes a big difference as well;
science has actually shown that too many facts inhibits our brain's best function,
so that - but also, what sprinkles said is very good and valid. .
anyway all ze best to you dear friend.
oh and i loved the title of the thread

Thanks guys
I'm having an especially hard time right now because of this stupid fucking suboxone taper. Why didn't I take care of that shit a while ago? I did actually but I fucked it up. I can tell that my friends and family are starting to get impatient with me. I have a few people who are there for me, so I'm pretty lucky, but they all got their own problems. I just can't afford to screw it up because I was too apathetic or scared to do anything I actually want to do. I actually feel pretty ok with myself in one way, I'm done running from myself at least, but also myself is a mess.
Lately I've been feeling like I am rushing the taper because I can't handle it and I fuck up my schedule regularly, but I told a bunch of people I would be done like a month or two ago. I'm not going to relapse, but I just can't handle things well, which is probably related to the way I am feeling. I feel like it is better to just bite the bullet at this point and stop. I really don't know how bad it will be.
I also got a bunch of things done today after making this thread, now I just gotta keep it up. Someday you guy's will look at me and say, "Hey, there goes that guy who does the things he wants to do even though he doesn't feel like it sometimes" and I will just look down at everyone from the robotic dinosaur I will build in my free time and take pity on all the people who struggle to make improvements in their life.

Naw that's unrealistic.

Tapering off medication is when you progressively take smaller and smaller doses over the course of weeks, so that you don't have withdrawal symptoms.

it is all about balance. i LOVE to procrastinate and feel i work best with my back against the wall, 11th hour lets make magic style but alas it bites me in the ass often as well.
i use this metaphor, the obligations are a ball, sometimes you are pushing them up a hill, other times you are running along side them as they roll down the hill.
the hill is obviously your will to achieve the goal. when feeling productive put the petal to the medal, other times it just might not be the right time.

in India, one swami shared, the four types of people:
lazy intelligent, busy intelligent, lazy fool, busy fool;
the best is lazy intelligent, the worst is busy fool.
we've learned how to do everything, as humans, now the main thing we need to learn how to do is to do nothing,
to let nature and mother earth heal;
without our interference.
