Celebrex
    #21646684 - 05/06/15 10:37 PM (8 years, 10 months ago)

So I was over at my parents for a few days and I had muscle and joint pain I Tried every thing Aspirin,Ibuprofen,Topical pain rubs and nothing was helping. So my dad gives me 2 Celebrex and told me to take 1 and that should last 24 hours. So this afternoon I took the first one The aches went away in about a half an hour. But this stuff feels weird I took it It is now like 8 hours later and I still feel like I'm on a mild Robo trip.

That's a placebo, man.

Celebrex is an NSAID, lol. It's not any different than aspirin, or acetaminophen.

Yeah, but there's no way an anti inflammatory med would effect your perception and consciousness like a drug... at most it could make you light headed, from thinning out your blood.

celebrex is a potent NSAID. its a little more potent and longer lasting than Aleve, its side effect profile is virtually identical, dose for dose

if it works for you, id try aleve first, cause its cheap and OTC. if that doesnt help, a doctor will probably have no problem prescribing celebrex

doesnt sound like he got high at all. he said 'he felt weird'.

it could have easily thinned his blood and made him more lightheaded.

go take a gram of aspirin and see what happens. you will feel weird.

for all we know, his dad could have had his dosage increased several times, and a whole pill was too much for him cause his body isnt used to that sort of thing

so why did you reply to my post? all i did was post factual info.

are you saying that lightheadedness cant change your perception or consciousness? cause you're dead wrong. nsaids can absolutely change your concioussness

its not like he said hes on the 3rd plateu tripping balls or some shit.

and i wasnt even replying to you in the first place by the way, you were just the last person to post in the thread, and i hadn't read your post, only your reply to me. when you dont specify a "reply to", it automatically puts the last person that posted in the thread you're replying to

and after reading your first post in the thread, you're again dead wrong. celecoxib(celebrex) is wholly different from both aspirin and acetaminophen.

aspirin, acetaminophen, and celecoxib might all have nsaid traits similar to eachother, but if you look at their structures, they are vastly differently and celecoxib is orders of magnitude more complex than the first two. which means it has more complex mechanisms of action

even compairing aspirin and acetaminophen is fucking stupid, they are completely different. they just have one similar mechanism of action in common with eachother

compairing aspirin to ibuprofin or naproxen(aleve) is fair, but acetaminophen =/= aspirin =/= celecoxib(celebrex)

There all nsaids, I never even got into pharmacology of them. If there's all kinds of websites comparing them, and saying their similar in effects, how come when I say they're similar you need to flex your internet dick? You're just sitting there stroking your ego for no reason, they are infact extremely similar to effect of other NSAID's even though Celebrex is a COX-2 Inhibitor and the others are not, they still have the same effects.

No need to call me a pubtard you dingus, and I do understand pharmacology, you can go read my posts in the MXE thread about potentiating it, if you want, or keep stroking your ego, I don't care either way.
