I'm happy thread thread is not about Stephenie Meyer smut like I originally suspected.

yea i like it. :cool::thumbup:

the first time i watched it was in my 8th grade history class. that teacher was dope, she had traveled all over the world and she knew a shit load of stuff, always brought little things to show us she got from her travels, like those greek coins, dope.

anyway she put on the show, but explained to us beforehand. the whole class was hooked. it was a nice phase.

It really was a groundbreaking show. Way ahead of its time.

There are quite a few standout episodes, but off the top of my head, the pig people, and the guy who onlyever wanted time to read, and then he got it and - something- happened.
And the thing on the wing

It is a classic and well-made show. I appreciate the show very much.

However, only the original TZ (because of Rod Serling's influence).

I have seen pretty much every TZ episode. There is a lot of good stuff there.

It is often an artistic show, with metaphors and meaning beyond it's surface. Rod Serling was a bit of a cynic, but there's no doubt that he was cool.

It has been said that fear of the unknown is the original and strongest form of fear.

Anyway, for those that like this show, remember that every year they have a Twilight Zone marathon that lasts for two days straight. It occurs on New Year's Eve and New Years Day on Syfy. :themoreyouknow:

I never really watched it but it's always caught my interest

It seems really weird and trippy

It's actually a show that I feel lends itself to black and white programming. So, that's easy to look past.

I love the twilight zone and I love the fact it's black and white, if I were to redo the twilight zone I would make it black and white again. I feel it's better that way

It was a great show and a lot of the horror was psychological, not some Godzilla monster chasing people. I think sterling was great, a little bit too much on the downer side but great none the less.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.” (attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville political philosopher Circa 1835)

I laughed at that last part with the book

I like the one where this one dude falls asleep or something and goes back in time to the day Abraham Lincoln was assassinated and tries to save Abraham but no one would listen to him. I think he ends up changing history when he wakes up or something
