Black headed Cubensis?

Are these aborts? Can they still be harvested? Some are quite big and continue to grow.

Well they have typical white cubensis stems and black heads as opposed to brown. They also bruise blue. They have been growing under a 20 watt energy bulb. Since I was using an energy bulb, thats when these mutations started to appear. Ii decided to switch to an incandescent 100 watt bulb. Now I have gone to incandescent. No more black heads continue to appear, although the original continue to grow.

Let them grow out if they are still growing. Once they start to open up you should see more traditional coloring on the caps. I have had some very dark headed primordia that grew into beautiful specimens.

if they are still growing than they havent fully aborted yet. just let them grow for a while, and if when you pick them there is black goo inside they are prolly rotten, otherwise, they should be fine

the tops of the caps could be dead for example look at a shroom outside that gets hit with a big dose of sunlight seeing as the stems are white or close to it they will not get as hot and they may be more tolerant to harsh light allso you could kill the outer layer of tissue by misting(especialy if use peroxide in your water)
