Finding a good pressure cooker?

Hey guys,

Everything seems to be coming together on this little plan my friend has, but he's been having a bitch of a time tracking down a good pressure cooker. He wants to use quart jars which necessitates a kind of big cooker/canner. The thrift stores have just yielded junk, and he's only found a decent sized one new at bed, bath and beyond and it was rather pricey for the size. The All Americans on mycosupply are very nice, but not spending $100+ on this would also be nice.

So does anyone have suggestions for chain stores that carry these for a decent price, or websites that have good deals? Also what size would you guys suggest for doing half a dozen or so quart jars? (they don't all have to fit in there at the same time, but that would make things easier) Thanks alot! :cool:

Check eBay. We got a nice one...it was old but works perfectly. I think with shipping and all it was around $50 at the most.

Got mine(Mirro 8qt size) from wal-mart for just over $40, fits 3 quart jars well.
