Hey, well anyways, I have some brown rice cakes ready for innoculation, but i'm wondering if I shouldn't just start all over again. Its been 3 weeks since they've been pressure cooked, and the've stayed mainly in a 65 degree tempeature except for four days at 85 degrees, no contamination, haven't been opened since pressure cooked, and sprayed bi-weekly with roughly .5% h202 solution. Should I innoculate them or restart cause they won't be good anymore?

They might still be usable, but I'd redo them just to be on the safe side.

i'd say knock 'em up and see what happens. at least a few of them. than you'd know if cakes can sit that long and still be good if it works. i've knocked up jars after 2 weeks and they colonized fine. try it at least with one or two cakes.

^^^^ i agree,if they haven't contamed after 2 weeks you know that your prep method is good,so inoculate them and watch'em grow.

In the shroomwizardtek he actually tells people to wait 3 days to see if the jars get contams. So if you didn't get any in three weeks that means you are all good to go. However they might be to dry. Give it a shot don't waste too many spores though!

Open one of the jars and look if it?s too dry, if it smells bad.... then you should be able to decide if you inoc the rest of the jars or start over.

how do I know if the moisture is right, this is going to be my first grow...and also i've heard that brown rice flour loses its nutritiousness if left out of a fridge, is this true?
