Trazodone and Shrooms/LSD

Hello everyone, I am posting here because I am about to purchase 1/4 oz of shrooms and 2 LSD tabs for the first time and I am very excited, but I have a couple questions.
1. I have been taking 125mg of trazodone every night for insomnia for the past 6 months, and I was wondering if it will make the LSD or Shrooms not work. 1a. IF it DOES BLOCK the LSD/Shrooms, how long should I get off trazodone for the full effect to come back?
2. Does Orange juice really work for LSD (I was posting here so I thought I might as well ask here too) (experiences with it actually working?)
Thanks!!

Sorry if I seem lazy posting this, but I haven't been able to find any solid information regarding the trazodone. I found one article saying regular trazodone consumption inhibits LSD response, and I've found lots of forum posts saying regular trazodone use enhances LSD
I'm so confused!

Does ANYBODY know about whether or not a SARI (trazodone) affects LSD/Shrooms???
I really want my first trip to be as best as possible and I am worried I will waste it because the trazodone will cancel it out

I've read that these things can take weeks to fully leave your system, I was just wondering if I need to stop taking them how long to wait before I take LSD?

So the receptor you're mainly worried about is 5HT2A.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trazodone#Pharmacology
If you look on this table it binds quite strongly to 5HT2A, you can tell that by how low the number is compared to the others - the receptors unaffected are bound to in the region of 7000 Ki. You can also compare it to antipsychotics which bind at around 10 and lower to 0.07 or so and are notorious for blocking and ending trips. You're looking at 35.8 Ki.
It will diminish the trip significantly if you're in the average therapeutic dose range. That's not assuming too much.
The second thing you're interested in is the half-life. This is how long it takes half of the chemical to be removed from the blood stream. You're in luck, it takes only 10 hours. You want about 5 to 7 half lives to say a chemical is completely removed. So you only have to wait about 50 to 70 hours, or 2 to 3 days.
I'm on three serotonergic/5HT2A medications and I now get absolutely zero effect even from high doses, something like 10 medium sized mushrooms.
Since you are only on one, you might get away with a diminished trip that may improve with higher dosing, because not all the 5HT2A receptors will be occupied. By the time you have three medications doing it you can pretty much assume 99.9% of receptors will be occupied.

Trazadone will stop a mescaline or high dosage 4-aco-dmt trip dead in its tracks. I've done it a couple of times.
I don't know if taking every night will keep you from tripping. It probably will. But I've only used it on rare occasions, never every night.
But when I took it while tripping, it killed the trip every time.

I took it to end an AMT trip once. Its pretty selective, safer than mirtazapine for this kinda thing. A small amount of it takes the edge off any anxiety, and nothing beats trazodone for knocking yourself out after a psychedelic or stim session. Mirtazapine causes hypertension, trazodone does the opposite. Thats why it gives you nasal congestion. If I ever take it, I always have a xylomethazoline nasal spray, nothing else unblocks my sinuses. It doesn't give me rebound congestion either. In my experience, it takes at least 24 hours to leave your system. If I take DXM or opioids the day after trazodone, I get bad nausea. With opioids or kratom, the nausea is so severe, I end up just rolling around on a couch incapacitated. Stims and psychedelics on the other hand, I can do them next day no problem.
