Yes. It is not psychoactive and it is now called Psilocybe semiglobata rather than Stropharia becasue Paul Stamets changes its name, although it is not still recognized as a Psilocybe by most mycologists

i have a friend who keeps bringing theese [still] to me asking if they are cubensis [in cali].

they are an attractive mushroom and not toxic but they are coprphiles and can cause food poisoning in some cases.

as mj stated they are inactive.

yes, they do highly resemble cubensis in their early lives.
