I'm in the middle of booking a bunch of shows for my band in the northern virginia/dc area, but I ran out of press kits. Anyone have any hookups for clubs that will let metal bands play at.. with just a website to go on? It's got everything as far as bio, music, pics, etc. We'll go as far north as..I don't know.. new jersey..new york maybe.. and as far south as..north carolina for now. We're still poor and we'll likely have to rent a uhaul.

i could find you a club to play at in chi. my friends have a metal band, they actually have a decent following too.

hmm...700 miles.. the only way I think we could go that far is if we had multiple gigs in the same city to pay for gas and shit

We were supposed to play at the first big one (CAPS) (also the reason for creating the Gathering Forum) in BC in 2000..along with a bunch of other shroomery bands.. but the place they ended up getting wouldn't allow live music

that would be awesome to rent out an auditorium , and have all the shroomery musicians get together and jam and hang out. id be there in a heart beat.

Cool...Richmond is definitely a place we want to play some shows..also the Va beach area..
Tennessee would work too.. though I didn't know there was a metal scene there?

VA Beach is full of assholes, IMO. Also, in Richmond try to hook up with a band called Municipal Waste or Operation Latte Thunder. Grindcore bands. You might be able to do some house shows too.

We played at 9:30 once about two years ago, but I didn't get us the gig. Ask to talk to Dante at both places?
