ok, this was my first hunt, i have been reading up on shrooms and i went out and bought (cough *stole* cough) a mushroom feild guide, so i guess i'm not a complete newbie, but anyway heres what i found, its probably nothing worth while but if it is someone please tell me so i can go and get more.
first of all i found these under a couple of rotting bark pieces, growing off of decaying wood, they are very small and delicate. Most of them where gray and grayish-brown one of them had a white cap. well thats the only picture that will load right now, i was thinking they might be Streaked coincap or Stump fairy helmet according to my feild guide but basicilly all i would like to know is what they do to you, thanks.

i can't tell from the pic; did they have striate caps? did you take a spore print?
it's best to give descriptions in the format provided in the stickie thread on identifying mushrooms, but at the least you need to provide the required info. read the rules, follow them all.

You sir need to read the post at the beginning of this forum. A delicate brown mushroom, with hardly a pic at all, doesn't tell anyone anything.
Before you post again, I STRONGLY suggest reading the sticky posts at the beginning of the forum.
You're just wasting your own, as well as others time, currently.

sorry about not filling what is needed for an ID here is what i know: A. Ohio, forest, under a rotting log growing off of some rotting wood. B. Gills attached and a white-ish brown color. C. Cap 1Cm. and stem 1.6 Cm. D. Stem light brown and very fragile when squeezed "goo" comes out and becomes very sticky. E. Cap 1Cm. white-ish color near the top and the lower part of the cap is more of a brown color and it starts to get a little wavy near the bottom of the cap. F. Sorry i don't have a spore print. G. i did not notice a color when mushroom was bruised. H. i did not notice a scent.
and one more time here is the picture, click on it so it enlarges, then its not that bad. hope that information helps in the identifacation, i guess all i really want to know is can i eat it? and what will it do to me? thanks for your time.

The most likely possibility is some sor tof Coprinus. Coprinus that look like those should not be eaten - you'd have to get a few hundred to do anything with anyway. Assuming Coprinus, they won't be active.
Happy mushrooming!
