That was the best environment for it... Or at least it thought.

and I'm not sure if having 2 cakes touching is the greatest for them.
I stacked cakes in my sgfc, but had tinfoil between each one so they wouldn't touch.

Its kinda creating a lil mini environment in between the cakes. I just birthed two cakes. That I made last month with the inner reservoir tek they look like dougnuts. As far as cakes touching I know its kinda taboo. But it seems to be working pretty good. This dome is totally neglect no mist no fan nothing. I think the dick is going to reach under the cake and kiss its butt.

I think the cake touching thing was so the 2 different cultures didn't start battling it out for grow space. :starwars:
As in trying to colonize the same thing.

Looks awesome man! 99% of the time when someone tries a new fc, it crashes and burns like the Hindenburg, but this looks nice!

Thanks man nice to hear from you. I thinkI got pretty lucky to ts so weird Ijust harvested and those cakes were so dam light and airy I was pumping the water to them to. Hope I get a good second flush

Thats good to know. I did not get a weight I dont have a scale.I would quss a couple grams dry. But the feeling you get from growing a shroom sure is a hell of a lot different than a plant. If my tub does good I. When my tub does good I will go get a scale.

Sorry to get your hopes up if I'm wrong, but that looks like way more than a couple to me! Yeah, it's a way different feel. Plants are more or less the same thing from seedling to harvest and I find it to be pretty boring. With shrooms it's always a different thing, colonizing grains, spawning, colonizing bulk sub, fruiting, eating:mushroom2::lol: I may be in the minority here, but don't waste money on an expensive scale unless you're weighing over 30 grams at once or milligrams. My ghetto homemade balance has always worked just fine and with good accuracy for dosing mushrooms and kratom. Here's a pic
And yeah, I'm mostly an edibles guy now, I've only got one cube project going at the moment and tons of edibles. Although I'm gonna start growing some gymnopilus purpuratus and some alleni's soon.

Hypomyces lactiflorum and they were both better on the dinner table than chanterells so iI would like to try growing lions mane

Yeah, a real scale would be nice, I'm just way too cheap. Haha. I've never had a chance to grow lions mane, but personally I hate chanterelle, the caps are so damn chewy! Anyways, if you grow them be sure to eat them quick! 8 hours after optimal picking time, lions mane mushrooms release a black enzyme that eats up the mushroom and turns them into nothing but stem!!
