A quick question about temp.

I am using the PF-tek and it says to keep the initial temp between 70-80degF.

I have done a search here and found the range to be between 80-85 degF.

Does it make that much diffrence?

Can a 10deg temp change cause a drastic change in the growth?

Yes.

PF based the PF tek on his PF strain and they were extremely flexible. Some cubensis take some things(humidity, temp, case vs cake, o2, co2, light) more seriously than others, and 80-85f is a good place to shoot for cubensis in general.

Huaulta, for example, simply will not fruit for me in my terrarium at 78f. Lots of mycellial growth, but no pins at all. Cold shocking hasn't helped, nor has humidity or light. Bumped up to 83-85f and things have been going...not well but moving =) Just got another heater so I will be hitting 85-90 next and move this strain out and a simpler strain like EQ in.
