If you have a large enough P cooker I have a tek using 1/2 gallon jars and 7-10 day full colonization process. I will post full tek in a couple of days. You will only be limited by the size of your grow rooms.Peace. ------------------ -ChesterCopperpott- "Old enough to know better, Young enough to do it anyway."

A good bulk method to use is with wheatstraw. A person could take one pint jar of birdseed and end up with a large amount of fruit. Take a pillow case and fill it up with chopped wheat straw. Next put it in a large pot and fill up with water until water covers pillow case. Use a weight to hold down the pillow case. Pasturize it for about an hour right at the boiling point but not boiling. Put the pillowcase full of wheatstraw on a grate or some devise to let it drain and cool. Get a large rubbermaid container and place about an inch thick layer of straw down on the bottom. Next break up the cake in your pint jar really good( break it down to BB size) and sprinkle a very sporatic layer across the straw. Next, another layer of straw , then more substrate, sandwich it to about four inches thick. Then take a piece of plastic tarp and poke alot of holes in it. Place over the top layer and press down hard to mash the layers together. Then place in the dark for about a week. Pull the plastic wrap off and put a thin layer of vermiculite on top of the top layer. Give it some light each day, and keep it moist. A person should recieve alot of fruit this way.------------------ "IT's two in the morning.....Do you know where your flashlite and paper bag are?"

Being in Colorado? you should be able to talk to a rancher. I get my bales for about $2.00-2.50 a piece. Harvest is coming up and wheat straw should be cheap enough. Also, using only a pint for a large amount of straw may give bad stuff too much of a chance to colonize first. You really should use a goodly amount of spawn. It just depends on how "bulk" you mean. If interested, I have a method of preparing the straw that doesn't take any heat if you would rather try that. You can do 50-100# of straw at a time. How's that for bulk. Peace. ------------------ -ChesterCopperpott- "Old enough to know better, Young enough to do it anyway."
