To Auto the Mono, or not.

So I can already figure out that the auto would be for the convenience being more true to the set and forget, but is there any other reasons why one would be better than the other? I've done a great deal of reading and taking notes so I'm sorta already leaning towards one, I just want some solid points on either side.
Thank you for reading!

Auto could work fine but your going to have to do a lot of trouble shooting to get it right. I haven't found it to be a very good idea because each time you spray it's in different amounts and different spots.
I've always wanted to get a good auto system going. It'd be great once you worked out all the problems but that would take so long it kind of defeats the purpose imo. Unless your doing some kind of edible on a factory like scale.

No I think I'd just do a few tubs of some gourmet ones but auto seems convenient. I have a solid system setup, air pump, humidifier, lighting. It's stuff I've borrowed from alp's 11 oz auto-mono guide. But having to mist myself and do the FAE myself seems like I'm subjecting them more so to contams.

As long as the proper FAE is being provided you shouldn't worry about subjecting them to more contams. There are so many mold spores in the air it's just not a concern. But experiment with what you think is best.

Monotubs are meant to be fully automatic on their own....so I do not see a point here.
If you are asking if you should use air pumps and such with a monotub, the answer is no.

QFT
I was thinking the same thing as OP not too long ago. I have this elaborate system of pvc pipe going from an ultrasonic humidifier then splitting off 7 ways that would eventually be "plugged into" each tub. I was (and still sort of am) looking into relationships between the RH and temp of the room compared to the RH and temp of the tubs. Then I can make a program for an arduino microcontroller that powers a fan and/or triggers the humidifier to run for X minutes depending on what parameters need to be met.
Now I just use the shelf to hold a few normal monotubs without any of the tubing "plugged" in lol. Monotubs can be almost no maintenance. Mine don't seem that way because I go in there like 20 times a day to see the myco-porn
