3-5 years to flowering age. 6 to 12 months for grafted plants.

5 months. hydro graft, from hydro seed, cloned 1x. under LED/ tube 6500k combo, with bubblers. this crop was a little sluggish. (450 nm lasers and still DWC is faster)
unless ya mean clay pot on the window sill ones. then your talking years and years.
obviously, i dont have time to wait half a decade on a golf ball, hence, we reduce em to seasonal pond crops.

yap. and seeds started on sand hydro.
dont have any threads here yet, but, my work and tactics are well known on the web.
for scale, head is the size of a quarter , about 2 months from pea clone
for the "water ballooners", who havent got them memo yet, that myth debunked on several forums thru research papers. they are the same power per dry weight as naturals.
i didnt invent cactus grafting. i invented hyper hydro cactus grafting.

yes, pereskiopsis. " the aquatic cactus" no they dont rot, and no they dont split. the hydro sand seed teks, are also on my blog.
some versions of my teks are on other forums. they are far too large to PM, as they have hundreds of pics.
my original teks, have been seen by tens of thousands over the yrs.
and, the only 16k hit cactus grow tek, banned on another forum.........
but relax, all new hyper hydro cactus teks, coming this fall......... dont miss em.

poms AKA nylon scrubs, it is not sealed, it has airflow.
we have another version called " aerophora", that is aeroponic, but were keeping that tek, along with several others under wraps for the moment.

Hydro is simpler ans easier so ill just stick to that for now considering i only grow in soil for now.. You should share the teks. people could help you improve them What water solution do you use ?

good luck improving the original HTTL tek.
most of my cacti teks were developed in the 90's and, have been published all over since mid 00's
since some of the originals were banned on other forums, or locked in members only archives, we have re geared, and are re editing the old, assembling new teks, and prepping to publish on multiple forums at once this fall.
there will be mini versions, and un censored versions. we have both cacti and fungi teks coming soon.
solution amounts to water and NPK, 10-10-10.
alot of my stuff is an easy find thru google. in respect for rogers house, i do not link off site.

most are still trying to master this, thats why i hold back on the more advanced stuff.
same with my fungi work. we discovered alot of the more advanced stuff, has to be metered out to avoid rioting.
as far as i know, im the leading global expert in hydro cacti. anyone is welcome to exceed me.......
although many see cacti and fungi, as a contest to replicate outdated teks, we see it as a wide open contest for the future of grow teks.

i dont link offsite. but my blogs are easy to find. most of the basics are there.
we are prepping some all new hydro cacti teks, should be out this fall.
in addition to my blog, there are other fragments of teks on the web. one forum, has em behind a members wall, one form has part 2 ( only), part one with 16k+ hits , was eaten by a goat.
and the infamous " rebel" forum, has parts of one.
we are working up a good one for here though. dont wander far.

The loph in this pic looks like a really nice tasting lolly (candy). Now I'm craving Starbursts.
