    #18480725 - 06/27/13 05:49 PM (10 years, 8 months ago)

Habitat:
Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.
On a maple trunk! I know weird eh! Theres no way its a Pluteus ! The stipe is blue, it isnt bruising blue.

Gills:
Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.
White to just slightly pinkish , attached

Stem:
Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.
Blue , covered in fine white powder around the base

Cap:
Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
Brown, covered in dark fibrils from the center out. From dome shaped to concave .

Spore print color:
Very important!
will print soon.
Bruising:
Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.

Other information:
Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

Pretty trippy to find Entolomas or Leptonias what ever you want to call them, on wood!

I don't think I've ever found one that didn't have some brown colors in it. There are several species apparently.

Ya there is a few.  I have a scope now so I will start comparing them. This is the first one with the fibrils on the cap. And the first one on wood.  I actually have old prints to compare.

I like that  first one!  It has a dark navy blue cap right? I remember you it'd that,  I was happy since I could never find a name.
I find the smurf blue ones,  E nitidum I think it's called. They are really cool!
I find that second one as well.  Sometimes it's tall and skinny in hardwood forests and in fir forests it's a bit bigger.

I found one the other day, too! Thought it was very strange:

Growing right out of a well-rotted stump. At that point though the stump could probably be considered dirt considering its state of decay.
