Hypothetically speaking, if one had this specific storage unit and was using a cool mist humidifier, what would be a good solution for maintaining temperature, would room temp be sufficient?

Since the 'walls' of this closet form a very bad form of isolation, the inside temperature will be mostly dependent on the temperature the room it stands in. IMO, a storage unit like this isn't very fit for growing mushies in, because of the reason mentioned above. Unless, ofcourse, your romm temperature can be adjusted to the needs of the mushrooms, which will be higher than room temperature.

If you do want to use this enclosure, and you're not prepared to change the temperature of the whole room, I really don't know how you could get the inside temperature of the enclosure significantly higher (or lower) than the temperature of the whole room.

throw a heated blanket over it? possibly, ha, that'd probably be ask'n to start a fire... I'm just glad this is all hypothetical.

<Beavis' voice>Fire! Fire! Hehehhheehh!</off>

Indeed headtrip, the fire hazard 's not something to overlook...

The only good solution to maintain the temp would be to blow hot or cold air through the whole enclosure, but this would present problems wrt humidity.

I think the enclosure is best for clothes, not for mushies.

Lots of people use these very successfully for growing mushies in.

Oh, I believe you, but I know that in my situation, for instance, it wouldn't work really well, and it'd be a lot of hassle. But I also believe that there are people who use these very successfully, I never wanted to dismiss or contradict that.
