My outdoor beds have been lost to ants
    #1835052 - 08/20/03 08:02 PM (20 years, 6 months ago)

My outdoor beds stopped fruiting after every effort to make them do so and I got to wondering why. Well, I dug into one of them and discovered that it was no longer a shroom bed, but a bed of ants. There was no sign of any mycelium and the entire thing was crawling with ants. So then I got worried and checked the other two and they shared the same fate.

Some one please give me some ideas as to how I can keep this from happening again.

I like growing outdoors more than indoors for the purpose of plausible deniability and I wish to continue to do so.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm about to be a mushroom cloud laying mofo up in this out door biyatch.

The only problem with diatomacious earth is that to remain effective it needs to stay dry. It rains here like every other day and that shite is expensive.

Do you think that cayenne pepper will have staying power through the rains.

What if I train my dog to pee around my patch. My neighbors make call the cops on me for indecent exposure I do it myself. Just joking about the dog.

if you dont want to whip it out for your neighbors to see, just piss in a jar while in the comforts of your home, then venture out to the patch to do battle... good luck by the way

bait them with sugar and powered borax .
it does't kill them right away, the borax sticks to their legs and they carry it back to the nest, thus wiping out the whole colony .
