question bout' portable closets
    #1807958 - 08/12/03 11:32 PM (20 years, 7 months ago)

afoaf was planning on using a portable closet setup via cool mist humidifier-  his only question before starting was how does all the shelfing get lighting in order to induce pinning?  He was planning on putting two large cake pans on each shelf--

thanx and peace

You don't need much light but it has to be distributed evenly to get nice flushes.

You could also make a similar unit using a shelf unit (prefab, plastic, metal, or homemade wood no matter). Use plastic dropcloth to cover it. The stuff goes by the name of "Plasgard" I believe. It is 6 mils thick, and used for all kinds of construction purposes. It cost me $15 for 250 sq feet that should be enough to cover four or five units. Use aerosol contact cement to glue it to all the sides on except the front, glue the top of the front side only. Affix velcro patches to the bottom shelf and front cover on the bottom, this will keep it from blowing in the wind. If you would like me to type it out step by step I can.

I will post pictures of mine, but it is under construction! I am building a shelf-less shelf terrerium to hang oyster logs inside of.
