You should have most of the common edible mushrooms.

Start with easy to identify species such as Oyster Mushrooms, which can be found growing on logs and stumps up until it freezes.

Here's a short list of easy to identify edibles that should be available.

Chanterelles (many species, all edible and choice)
Lobster Mushroom
Agaricus campestris
Agaricus arvensis
Lepiota rachodes
Lepiota americana
Lepiota procera
Coprinus comatus (Shaggy Manes)
Coprinus micaceus
Marasmius oreades
Clitocybe nuda (Blewit)
Lactarius deliciosus and similar species (Orange Latex Milky)
Flammulina velutipes (Enokitake)
Armillaria mellea and relatives (Honey Mushrooms)
Pleurotus ostreatus and relatives (Oyster Mushrooms)
Boletus edulis (King Bolete)
Boletus albisulphureus
Boletus bicolor
Gyroporus species
Hydnum repandum
Hericium species
Sparassis spathulata (Cauliflower Mushroom)
Grifola frondosa (Hen of the Woods)
Puffballs
Morels (spring only)

Every one of those mushrooms is presented in Edible Wild Mushrooms of North America (and that's not all there are in the book).

Good luck and Happy mushrooming!

I hate it when I use the quick reply and forget and use HTML anyway!

F. Velutipes is also a spring 'shroom. It will appear before morels.

Flammulina velutipes is an all-year mushroom. It's available now if I choose to hunt it. I only mentioned spring for the morels because that's the only time they're around.

Happy mushrooming!

I didn't realize that it grew all summer. I do know; however, that it will appear in the spring before the morels.

It'll definitely be up before the morels.

Here in Colorado it's sometimes referred to as the Winter Mushroom, because it's one of the few mushrooms that can even be found in midwinter (during a warm spell).
