Dry shrooms are always a bad trip for me.

Well maybe not bad, but a serious mindfuck for me with tons of anxiety. Every time I take dry shrooms its like I wanna quit the trip as soon as I feel it coming on. Fresh are another story. I always get euphoria with slight anxiety, but the trips are always awesome. The peaks with fresh are pure bliss while the peaks with dry are just as weird as it comes.
Why is that and how can I have a good trip on dry shrooms?

Placebo effect Or you are dosing wrong
Same stuff in fresh and dried... So, it's you
Not sure how many times you have dosed... But work on your set and setting
Maybe drink some ginger tea and relax
Peace

When you eat wet Mushrooms, are you eating the same weight you would dry? If so, that explains a lot

This. I have a somewhat similar issue. I've only tripped off solely dry ones a couple time and each time it made me barf. That in itself isn't pleasant for someone who likes food and good tastes so that plus the rapid onset make me not want to try anything other than Golden Teachers dry. GTs are the only ones that i got a great trip from when dried. Tea eliminates the nausea completely and makes the tip much more enjoyable and smooth for me. The euphoria also seems to get a boost with passionflower extract. If you can find blue lily extract (not positive that's the name) then it makes the trip very sedative. You don't get the normal massive boost of energy that one would typically get without it.
-------------------- In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion. [Carl Sagan, 1987 CSICOP keynote address]

i would guess your taking more when you take dry.
3.5g dried is a mouthful but 35g wet is a meal.

^ That's exactly what I was thinking ^
If that's not the case, when you eat the dry ones, don't focus on the fact that dried mushrooms give you a bad trip. Should work.

Well I'm not being entirely truthful. I drank a 16oz of coffee and some other caffienated drinks during the day of my last trip. Plus me and my buddy just grabbed a handful and began munching, didn't even weigh them. Didn't realize golden teachers were so powerful. So yeah maybe I asked for it this time.

Why is that and how can I have a good trip on dry shrooms?
I get bad trip each time too, 3 times in a row, really bad demon trips
And bad trips with fresh shrooms too
But never with chocolates (had 8-10 good trips with chocolates, then 3 really bad in a row due to eating them raw, then 2 good trips with chocolates in a row)
It seems it is only due to method of consumption for me
I get bad trips with dry, fresh, dry with OJ , but not with chocolates it can probably be avoided if remembering the shrooms won't kill you
last time I think I had food poisioning from them, couldn't breathe on 3.5g(and a few days after), was sure they were contamed and I wouldn't survive learned my lesson, not to leave fresh shrooms on the table/in refridgerator for too long, had diarrhea+fever+trouble breathing in the trip
and always dry fully, else I bet mold shrooms give bad trips too

Its probably the texture itself, plus the fact there is indigestible cell walls that upset stomachs which in turn messes with your head, like he said its all about set and setting

Good trips after bad trips are still as good as they used to be
Bad trips are easily forgotten(and also learned from)
here is my chocolate recipe: just get a chocolate bar, melt it in a cup on the stove (dark is best I think) and chop up your mushies as fine as possible (powder is best),remember to stir the powder so it gets evenly distributed in the chocolate, put the cup in the freezer till the chocolate hardens
low heat preferably, and I prefer dark chocolate too
chocolates have no mushroom taste,no nausea,no sickness only the trip totally worth it
peace

In the chocolates I have made with the same recipe you use I've definitely tasted the mushrooms. Then again, we didn't powderize them so the taste was probably from the chunks. Even if we had powderized them I don' think there's NO mushroom taste but it is almost indistinguishable from the chocolate.

I always used powder(as fine as dust), if you have a coffee grinder you can make powder easily
Then they taste better than ordinary chocolates, I dunno why I never liked mushroom taste but I can't taste mushrooms in chocolates at all
Especially not with dark chocolate
No nausea/sickness not even with 4g and 4g gave me an experience I wouldn't repeat too often they seem to intensify the experience a bit
Usually eat them when they are frozen
Edit: actually I don't mind mushroom taste, neither dry or fresh but my stomach doesn't agree with them, I always get sick, even with 3g, and usually need 3.5g+

the chocolates I make you would never know until you realize your talking to a coat.
If you dont powderize eating a bunch will make your mouth raw from being scratched by the dry material sticking out of the melted chocolate.
my chocolates are a 40:1 weight ratio. a 20g chocolate has .5g. any more and it drys out the chocolate and it doesn't mold well and has lumps and inconsistency in distribution. I tried adding shortening once but that resulted in a soupy mess.

Mine are more like 70% mushroom powder or so
Still no taste IMO, wouldn't know I was eating mushrooms if I got the chocolates from somebody else
Just fill an icecube tray, 1g in each, then chocolate for rest
They're best frozen I think
