How many syringes are you able to make with a print(avg. size)?

Theoretically, thousands. Realistically, ten.

Is there any really good tricks any one has on taking steril spore prints. Recently tried by wiping down aluminum foil with alcohol and snipping fruit with push pin in top so you don't have to touch. then leave a half pint on top with a small aluminum foil wedge in to allow moisture to escape. Then, after they dropped, the half of the foil that is sticking out is wiped down with alcohol. the jar is lifted and print quickly folded in half and placed in zip lock.
Also if one wanted to make a few syringes immediatley, is it true that the cap can be cut and placed in sterile water and shaken to drop it's spores and then be transferred?

Wouldn't the cap have a higher probability of errant contaminant spores (cob web, wild yeasts ect) as the top of the cap is in line of gravity...so they can settle on the cap. Coupled too with a greater window period of exposure to such airbourne nasties...as the fruit body grows.
Compare that to the short window period of veil break and how the underneath-of-the-cap area in question won't have the gravity contam settling problem. If you soak a cap in distilled water, you'll get all the good, bad and ugly off that cap.
Why not just make the prints the way you do and from that make syringes?
Th only difference to how I make spore prints is all items are PC'ed and I use some dessicant in the base of a tall aluminium pre-PC'ed glass, so the print is dry after cap is removed.

Just print the cap onto the bottom of a sterile jar, and then remove the cap, fill with water, stir with a sterile utensil, and suck it up into the syringe. Starter is right. It would be a bad idea to place the cap into the water directly.

you are trying to make it to difficult ! check the faq's. in short cut the cap as close as you can ( to the cap , no stem ) - put it on foil or wax paper ( gills down ) cover w/ glass jar , bowl etc.. ( somewhat air tight ) leave it alone for 24 hrs.-- presto - you have a print. keep everything as clean as possible, clean knife or scissors w/ alcohol, touch as little as possible or not at all - blah- blah. - once again clean as possible ! thats the key. and make sure you wash those dirty fucking hands before you start

o.k.,- the original question was about how many syringes from a print - depending on the print at least 4 syringes, if its a big dark print maybe 15, maybe more. dime or nickle size print = 4 or 5 syringes if it's dark. but then again i don't know shit !

I take 3 syringes(very dark) for one print and if I need to make another syringe I just put some spores from the dark syringe in a shot glass and add steril water and make a new syringes with it.
I got that from "magash" but he uses one syringe for a print

I only take 2 or three syringes from a single print, but I almost always innoculate with a liquid growth medium which can be multiplyed alot more easily than using straight spore syringes, cuts down on chances of contamination and also speeds up growth.
