My EQ spore syringe will be here monday, so im getting all the materials i need together, and I have a few questions. Today i went out and got a rubbermaid container and vermiculite. I have drinking glasses that i think will work just fine (the right size and everything).

Now i don't have perlite yet, can anyone tell me where to buy this? Ive read here and there that wet paper towels in my fruiting chamber will work fine, but i want the best results i can POSSIBLY get, so if perlite is reccomended then i will go get it.

I am using the pf-tek and i will probably have around 5 jars going, maybe more if i go buy some jars.

I am really excited about this and I want to do everything JUST right, I have heard a lot about "dunking"? What exactly is it, and is it a teqnique to save a failing jar? or does it just make everything work much better.

Help on any of these questions would be great, Thanks in Advance - RespectTheFungus

Looks a little complicated, I can do just fine with a simple fruiting chamber right?

From my readings Vermiculite and Perlite are the same thing and you will only need one.

i recomend it for cakes, casings on the other hand...

Perlite is white and granular and can easily be found in most garden departments. Just ask a clerk, they will point you in the right direction.

Assuming this is your first grow, the only advice I can give you is to follow the PK-Tek procedure to the word. If it says use vermiculite, use it. Perlite is incredibly absorbent and if your not careful, problems can arise with respect to contams from stagnant water etc.

Just remember, you can't go cutting corners with this hobby.
